Washington Capitols

We service not only the Washington Capitals but the entire Verizon Center.

Another one of our high profile clients in the NHL is the Washington Capitals. We’re in charge of all of their special effects on opening nights, playoffs and special projects. We were asked to project an image of the flag on the ice for the National Anthem. We use that same equipment to put other backgrounds on the ice for the opening and intermissions. We utilize static imagery because video would be washed out on the ice.

The Washington Capitals light show was completely installed by Image Engineering. We constructed a rig with 24 VL3000 fixtures with custom motors and rigging that is utilized by all of the teams that play in the Verizon Center.
