Michelle began her special effects career by becoming a licensed pyrotechnic operator in Washington State in 2012 and while she did it with every intention of only keeping the license for a year to help out, she quickly grew to love the industry. After a lifetime in the Pacific Northwest, Michelle relocated to Las Vegas in 2018, first as Director of Pyrotechnics for Image Engineering then as one of the first employees of IMAGE SFX.
Michelle’s early years in special effects were focused on major league sports productions and after only three years in the industry, found herself in the surreal position of being the “shooter” for all the in-game and post-game pyrotechnics for Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium.
Now as General Manager of IMAGE SFX, Michelle is focused on making IMAGE SFX the trendsetter in special effects for some of the biggest touring productions in the world. She is excited to see where our quest to transform the industry takes us next.
